Pulse Health
About the Project
Pulse's scheduling product worked well in demos and poorly in clinics. We spent the first six weeks in waiting rooms rather than in Figma, and the resulting redesign was shaped almost entirely by what we saw there.

The Challenge
No-show rates were costing partner clinics significant revenue, and the existing interface assumed a level of digital confidence many patients simply did not have. Staff had built elaborate workarounds, most of which involved paper.
The Solution
We rebuilt the booking flow around the two moments that actually predicted attendance: confirmation and the day before. A design system gave the in-house team the means to keep shipping consistently after our engagement ended, which mattered more to the client than any single screen we designed.
What We Delivered
Research & Product Design
Six weeks of contextual research across four clinics, followed by a rebuilt booking and reminder flow tested with patients in the demographic that struggled most.
Design System
A documented component library with accessibility built in rather than retrofitted, handed over with training so the internal team could extend it independently.
